Youth Speak 2018

Six year 6 children took part in 2018’s Honiton Learning Community Youth Speak’s competition.

One group was made up of Chairperson: Izzy Abrey, Speaker: Elana Pavey and Vote of Thanks was made by Lilian King. Read Elana’s speech below:

The came 3rd out of the Honiton schools and will now go on to the next round.

Youth Speaks - 2017 - Area Finalists - Ella, Becky and Megan - Gender Specific Marketing

Megan, Becky and Ella took part in the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition and came first in the Honiton area competition. Their topic was ‘Gender Specific Marketing’. Together with the two schools from the area who came 2nd and 3rd, they were put in for the East Devon finals. This competition was cancelled so the 3 girls went on to the Devon final on Saturday, 25th February 2017. They spoke fluently and confidently performing very well. The winners and runners up were Maynards and St Leonards who now go on to the South West Regional finals. Well done girls!
