Offwell Woods
Offwell Woods are a vital part of a child’s time at Offwell Primary school. In fact the woods are like an unofficial extension to our school! Children in each class regularly visit the woods for ‘Welly Walks’ which offer a variety of exciting learning opportunities in the outside environment. Activities include: orienteering, plant and minibeast classification, fire lighting, den building, art, pond-dipping, drama, and many more. The school makes regular use of the lakeside classroom and large log cabin.
The site, managed by Offwell Woodland and Wildlife Trust, consists of a wide variety of restored native wildlife habitats rich in wildlife.
